Deputy Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyễn Thị Anh Thi inspected Hội An International School (HAIS) in Hội An Tây ward on the morning of October 28, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The school wants to build a new campus because its current site has little room to grow.

HAIS teaches primary, lower-secondary and upper-secondary students. It opened in 2018 and now has 319 students from 40 nationalities, roughly eight times its first-year enrolment.

School representatives told the visit that demand for international education in Hội An and central Da Nang remains strong after eight years. They plan a new green campus with Hội An character for 500 to 600 students. The project would be funded by mobilised capital, with phase one estimated at about VND 200 billion.

Thi praised the school's operations and acknowledged its limited room for expansion. She asked HAIS to work with local authorities to survey a site and prepare a formal proposal, which it must then submit to the relevant agencies. The report gives no deadline and does not say where a new campus might go.
