Construction of the National Road 14B interchange with the Da Nang-Quang Ngai expressway is in its final stretch, Báo Đà Nẵng reported on October 26. The target for full opening is November 30.

On the overpass, all seven piers and abutments are finished, all 72 Super-T girders are erected and all 12 deck slabs are complete. Railings are under way. On the branch bridge over the Hòa Liên-Túy Loan expressway, both abutments and deck slabs are done and expansion joints are being fitted.

On October 20, one lane of the overpass toward Road 14B and one right-hand lane of the expressway were opened to traffic. The contractor, Dacinco, has eight work fronts, 15 engineers, hundreds of workers and 30 machines on site.

The company says meeting the technical conditions for full opening by late November will be very difficult. It points to rain expected in the next phase, which could disrupt simultaneous construction and traffic diversion, and to unstable fuel, material and labour prices, especially for asphalt concrete and crushed stone base. It has asked the investor and relevant agencies to help with supply and prices.
