Asphalt paving on the National Road 14E bridge over the North–South railway was finished by the afternoon of October 26, and vehicles can now cross, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. The bridge and its approach ramps are in Thăng Bình commune. Paving ran on October 25 and 26.

The overpass is 12 metres wide, with an 11-metre carriageway and a half-metre kerb strip on each side. It forms part of the 14E upgrade between Km15+270 and Km89+700, which began on March 7, 2023 and has a budget of 1,848.239 billion VND from the state budget. Supervising consultant staff, including engineer Trần Khắc Khánh, gave the update; the report does not name the main contractor.

Work continues on the frontage roads either side. Drainage is being installed, and two 150-metre sections are being prepared with a crushed-stone base: one from the project's start point at Bình Quý market to the bridge's east approach, and one on the west side leading to the Da Nang–Quang Ngai expressway interchange. Asphalt on those sections will follow once the weather is dry enough.
