Nguyễn Khắc Toàn, a Party Central Committee member and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, held a working session with Sơn Trà Ward's Party Standing Committee on the morning of October 27, Báo Đà Nẵng reported. Earlier that day he inspected projects in the ward, including the Thọ Quang fishing port and yacht marina.

The ward told the meeting that budget revenue had reached 1,388.128 billion VND by October 21, or 82.3% of its assigned estimate. Public investment disbursement stood at 80.44% as of October 18, and the ward expects to reach 86% of its capital plan by October 31.

Among the tasks set, the ward is to review nine state-owned apartment blocks for safety and repair needs and to resolve legal and planning obstacles on 13 projects on the Sơn Trà peninsula. It is also to speed up a 30-metre road from Ngô Quyền to Lê Tấn Trung and a residential project along the Thọ Quang–Biển Đông route, and to review the investment plan for Sơn Trà market. A plan for a high school is to be prepared and urgent items added to the 2026–2030 plan.

On the economy, the official said development should not "trade off the environment and safety for immediate gains," in the report's wording. He also asked the ward to guard against tax losses, deal promptly with construction violations and review surplus housing and land left over from the administrative reorganisation.
