Hai Chau ward held a dialogue on the morning of 4 November with households due to be relocated from the Thuan Phuoc apartment complex, Bao Da Nang reports. The complex has eight three-storey blocks with 288 units, first occupied in 2001 by families displaced by earlier city projects, and has since deteriorated.

Of 286 relocation cases, 103 households registered to rent state-owned social housing. Of those, 81 have received homes and signed leases, and 22 are still being assigned.

Another 119 registered to buy social housing, 78 of them at the rebuilt Sun Home project and 41 at other city projects. The remaining 64 do not yet meet the conditions for resettlement under the approved plan.

Estimated relocation support totals over VND10.2 billion. The city is prioritising about 104 Sun Home units, roughly 30 percent of the project, for relocated households at VND6.4 million per square metre, with preferential loans of up to 80 percent of the contract value. Applications are expected to open on 2 December, with handover in early February 2027.

Residents asked about loan percentages, differences in support between areas, the timeline, and whether delays at other projects would affect their rights. They also raised long-term rights once the new buildings age.

Officials warned that misleading information about Sun Home is circulating on social media. They told residents to deal only with the city's Housing Management and Exploitation Center, which will work with the developer to publish each unit's area and price.
