Trà Vân commune has asked Da Nang to work with neighbouring Quảng Ngãi on infrastructure along their shared boundary, but the city's finance officials say the funding proposal does not fit budget law, according to the city portal. The meeting took place on the afternoon of October 27.

Vice Chairman Hồ Quang Bửu chaired the session. The commune's main proposal was a road link from Đăk Ru to the former Trà Vinh area, which lies inside Quảng Ngãi's administrative boundary, to serve the Thôn 6 border zone.

The Department of Construction said the link was suitable and would make travel and trade easier for people on both sides. The Department of Finance advised, and Construction agreed, that using city and commune budgets to invest in infrastructure on Quảng Ngãi land would not comply with the State Budget Law.

The commune was told to finish its submission to the Department of Construction using the departments' comments. The department will then report to the city People's Committee, which is to consider working with Quảng Ngãi to agree an investment approach. The portal gives no cost or timetable.
