A Vietnam Airlines flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Munich diverted to Islamabad International Airport in Pakistan on Saturday night, 31 October, after a German passenger had a seizure, VnExpress International reports. The flight was VN35.

Cabin crew gave assistance and asked for medically trained passengers to help. An on-board doctor judged that the man needed urgent care and recommended landing. The crew diverted after about six hours in the air, and the airline coordinated with airport ground staff to receive the aircraft and help the passenger.

The report does not say how the passenger was afterwards. Vietnam Airlines said its crew "quickly provided necessary assistance" and that it arranged alternative travel for passengers who missed connections.

The aircraft was refuelled and cleared to resume its journey to Munich. The report does not identify the aircraft type.
